Urban fashion icon Levi’s recently added their weight behind the worldwide bicycle commuting explosion by introducing The Commuter, a range of jeans (and a jacket) specifically designed with the urban commuter’s needs in mind.
While bikes may be lovingly referred to as steeds, urban commuting is certainly no pony ride, with rain, dirt, and the odd encounter with a stray car door part of every day commuting life. Mindful of this, Levi’s worked Nanosphere technology into The Commuter jeans (based on the 511 Skinny), making them water resistant, dirt repellent and also more durable against those inevitable bumps and scratches. The jeans also feature, among others, reinforced panels to protect against angry saddles, antimicrobial odour treatment, a nifty waistband for your U-lock and 3M™ reflective panels for visibility without cramping your style.
They’re available in denim, non-denim and a cropped model, as well as a stylish jacket with a lower back to keep the water and dirt kicked up by your rear wheel from getting in.
